Red Flag 25/1 – AZ/NV – January 2025

Information

Red Flag 25/1 will take place from Nellis from 20 January –  7 February 2025. We plan to organise a short tour to Las Vegas and Arizona while it is still winter in Europe. The tour will last for about 7 days with a departure to the USA on Sunday 26 January and return home on Sunday 2 February 2025.

We will travel with a small group for a maximum flexibility and intend to visit Nellis AFB a couple of days and also go south for eg Luke AFB, MCAS Yuma, Tucson IAP and Davis Monthan AFB while they are still operating the A-10.

In 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2023 and 2024 we have also organised tours to this aera.

Itinerary

The itinerary that follows is to be considered as preliminary.

On Sunday 26 January 2025 we will fly to the USA from Düsseldorf Airport (Germany) and return there on Sunday 1 February 2025.

The plan at this moment is as follows:

  • Sunday 26 January 2025: fly to Las Vegas
  • Monday 27 January 2025: visit Nellis AFB from outside
  • Tuesday 28 January 2025: visit Nellis AFB from outside
  • Wednesday 29 January 2025: visit Nellis AFB from outside
  • Thursday 30 January 2025: visit to e.g. Luke AFB, MCAS Yuma, Davis Monthan AFB, etc. from outside
  • Friday 31 January 2025: visit to e.g. Luke AFB, MCAS Yuma, Davis Monthan AFB, etc. from outside
  • Saturday 1 February 2025: drive to Las Vegas and fly home in the evening
  • Sunday 2 February 2025: arrival at Düsseldorf (Germany)

Tour cost

Price for this tour is € 1899,- per person. This price includes:

  • Flight from Düsseldorf (Germany) to the USA
  • Flight from the USA to Düsseldorf (Germany)
  • Hotel accommodation (middle class hotels, twin share room basis, two beds and ensuite bathroom)
  • All transportation in the USA
  • € 9,- contribution to GGTO

You can also book this tour without the airline tickets. In that case you will have to take care of the transportation to and from the USA. The price for the tour without airline tickets is € 1438,- per person. The single-room supplement for this tour is € 295,-.

Not included:

  • individual travel insurance
  • entrance fees for museums or airshows
  • all meals
  • all personal expenditures
