Information

We intend to travel to Spain in June 2025 to attend the annual FAMET anniversary. It is held above Colmenar Viejo. During the day there is a parade in which a number of helicopters participate. In previous years these could be photographed quite nice at a small civilian field outside Colmenar Viejo during the line-up for the actual parade. So we will not have a base visit at Colmenar Viejo.

We want to go to Spain for about five days. We will then have time to watch the rehearsal and the actual parade, plus possibly visit other bases and the museum near Madrid.

Itinerary

The itinerary that follows is to be considered as preliminary.

On Thursday 19 June 2025 we will fly to Spain and return to the Netherlands on Monday 23 June 2025.

The plan at this moment is as follows:

  • Thursday 19 June 2025: Travel to Spain
  • Friday 20 June 2025: visit several location in and around Madrid
  • Saturday 21 June 2025: visit several location in and around Madrid
  • Sunday 22 June 2025: visit several location in and around Madrid
  • Monday 23 June 2025: visit Colmenar Viejo and flying home in the evening

Tour cost

Price for this tour is € 1229,- per person. This price includes:

  • Flight from The Netherlands to Spain
  • Flight from Spain to The Netherlands
  • Hotel accommodation (middle class hotels, twin share room basis, two beds and ensuite bathroom)
  • All transportation in Spain
  • € 9,- contribution to GGTO

You can also book this tour without the airline tickets. In that case you will have to take care of the transportation to and from Spain. The price for the tour without airline tickets is € 954,- per person. The single-room supplement for this tour is € 225,-.

Not included:

  • individual travel insurance
  • entrance fees for museums or airshows
  • all meals
  • all personal expenditures
