    In 2017 another edition of the Bucharest International Air Show (BIAS) will be organised. The show is scheduled for 22 July. The event has become a very nice show over the years, offering many options to see and capture aircraft of the Romanian Air Force. Also international participants have found their way to the event in numbers. Furthermore the show continues into the evening, leading to nice evening shows. Especially since flares are used a lot. In 2017 we want to organise a short tour to this fine destination.

    This is our first visit to the show. The photos above have been made during a week-long tour to romania in 2015.

    Itinerary

    The itinerary that follows is to be considered as preliminary.

    On Thursday 20 July we will fly to Romania and return to the Netherlands on Sunday 23 July 2017.

    On Friday 21 July we will capture the arrivals and rehearsals for the show from the outside and we will visit the show itself on Saturday 22 July. Our hotel is very close to the airport we will certainly be able to stay until the end of the show on Saturday (normally until 9 in the evening)!

    On Sunday we can visit the Muzeul Naţional al Aviaţiei Române and possibly some wrecks & relics in the city before we fly back at the end of the afternoon.

    Tour cost

    Price for this tour is € 599,- per person. This price includes:

    • Flight from The Netherlands to Romania
    • Flight from Romania to The Netherlands
    • Hotel accommodation (middle class hotels, twin share room basis, two beds and ensuite bathroom)
    • All transportation in Romania

    You can also book this tour without the airline tickets. In that case you will have to take care of the transportation to and from Romania. The price for the tour without airline tickets is € 424,- per person. The single-room supplement for this tour is € 125,-.

    • individual travel insurance
    • entrance fees for museums or airshows
    • all meals
    • all personal expenditures
