In May 2018 we want to organise a ‘new’ tour to Japan. During this visit we intend to start with a visit to the Iwakuni Friendship Day on 5 May 2018. This air show is held every year and in 2018 almost all assets from NAF Atsugi have moved in. After the air show we plan to spend a week in the (larger) Tokyo area. Bases that are being considered are Hyakuri, Iruma, Atsugi, Gifu, perhaps Komatsu, etc. The bases that are visited should normally result in a good mix of air force and navy aircraft.
The tour will be from 3 to 12 May 2018. If you want to skip the Iwakuni Friendship Day you can join the group from 6 May.
In 2014, 2015 and 2017 4Aviation also organised a short tour to Japan.
