A group of 8 photographers gathered at Schiphol airport on a very decent time, for the first 4Aviation tour to Gran Canaria. Surprisingly, all participants joined from Schiphol, whereas normally some travel to the destination country on their own. Transavia took us to Gran Canaria Airport on a Boeing 737, where we landed early in the evening, on Sunday 20 October 2024.
Finding our rental car took a bit longer than expected, since the pick-up guy was waiting for us somewhere else than what was mentioned in the brochure. After solving this and collecting our brand new van, we were able to find our hotel (in the Las Palmas city centre) quite easily. After finding out that the van did actually fit in the parking garage (but only just), it was time for our first taste of local food.
