Between 6 and 9 August, 4Aviation headed for Hungary with a group of 16 people, visiting the Kecskemét Air Show.
Because WizzAir offered the best flight times, this company was chosen as our means of transport. On Friday morning (6 August) the group therefore gathered at Eindhoven quite early. After check-in it took some time before the first ‘movements’ took place. As a result of ‘ATC issues’ the airport appeared to be closed and we saw several civil aircraft circling the environment, awaiting permission to land. The aircraft that was to bring the group to Budapest, had diverted to Weeze though. A phone call to WizzAir taught us that the flight to Budapest was cancelled. Since we were speaking to WizzAir anyway, we chose to directly reschedule the group (15 passengers, 1 was already in Budapest) to the evening flight to Budapest on the same day. Luckily, this was possible and, after a very long waiting time at Eindhoven, in the evening we flew to Budapest, met the final participant, collected the rental cars and headed for the hotel in Monor.
