In November 2021 we travelled to Greece with a group of photographers for our twelfth visit to the Hellenic Air Force’s Patron Saint celebrations. A few days of sun and aviation in beautiful Greece!
Although the year has been going on for a while, our second trip of the year only left on Thursday, 4 November 2021. A large part of the group of 19 enthusiasts gathered at Schiphol before departing for Greece. This would already be our 12th visit to the annual open days in honour of the birthday of the patron saint of the Greek Air Force. After the usual ceremonies, we flew right on schedule to Athens, where we met the last participants of the group. After waiting for the rental cars, we were on our way to our first hotel of the trip, in Kalamata. The restaurant opposite the hotel saw the day’s turnover explode for a while before everyone enjoyed a well-deserved night’s sleep.
